10-man Tilbury snatched a late winner to grasp all three points in a feisty encounter as they won 1-0 against 10-man Brentwood Town at Chadfields.
Tilbury scored very late on, through a Babalola cross which found its way in through a deflection by Martyn Stokes.
Tilbury and Brentwood both went down to ten men only 14 minutes in as Ngandu’s tackle on Danny Smith was harshly deemed dangerous by the referee, which sent him down the tunnel.
Harry Cook was next to go for Tilbury for his retaliation to the tackle as he was also sent to the stands.
Bantick near caught Giddens’s off guard with a free-kick heading for the top corner but was tipped over the bar.
Just before the break a lovely bursting run from Ryan Mcfarlane was laid off for Sam Bantick and was lifted to the far post for Sherwin Stanley but his header to come off the post.
On the hour mark Bantick’s dangerously whipped in free-kick was headed by Ryan O’Rawe off the crossbar, to deny Brentwood the lead.
Substitute Francis Babalola had a shot on the edge of the box which was on its way into the bottom corner but for a strong palm by Bowles.
Tilbury took the lead in the 89 minute through both substitutes as Babalola’s whipped in ball was flicked goalwards by Emiel Aiken and a deflection by Stokes found its way into the net, to snatch the three points.
