Leyton Orient remain unbeaten at home this season, after a convincing 4-1 home win against Guiseley at The Matchroom Stadium.
Guiseley took a shock lead, after Kayode Odejayi tucked in from close range to silence the O’s fans.
But a Macauley Bonne double from the spot gave the O’s the advantage at the break.
The O’s continued to go forward and were rewarded, as new signing Matt Harrold got his debut goal and Bonne capped off the afternoon to complete his hat-trick and seventh of the season.
Steve Davis made three changes from his side that won 1-0 away at Maidenhead United on Bank Holiday Monday. One forced changes, as Alex Lawless was out injured with a hip injury as Henry Ochieng got his first start alongside Craig Clay.
David Mooney and Jobi McAnuff both regained there starting spots, as Josh Koroma moved to the bench and Romauld Boco was left out of the squad.
Orient’s new signing Matt Harrold was named on the bench along with young Myles Judd for the first time this season.
The hosts’ nearly took the lead just five minutes in, as McAnuff was played through on goal he decided not to give it an open Bonne who was free and his strike was well-stopped by Joseph Green.
The O’s were offered a great chance 16 minutes in, as Green did not clear his lines Bonne closed him down got the block and the ball went trickling across the goal line and Bonne could not chase the rebound to poke it in.
Just after the half hour mark, Guiseley were given an opening, as Elokobi gave the ball away to Lee Molyneux to strike but was parried by Charlie Grainger.
Orient found themselves behind nine minutes before the break, as Kevan Hurst fired a ball across the box and Odejayi was there to tuck in unmarked.
The O’s then went more direct, as Ochieng ball up to Mooney was flicked on for Josh Coulson to strike but was straight at Green.
Mooney then got round the back of the defence, whipped a ball in which clearly hit the arm of the Guiseley defender and the referee pointed straight to the spot.
Bonne stepped up and confidently despatched the strike into the bottom left corner to level the match up.
In added time, Alex Purver bundled into Mooney just inside the box and the linesman gave the foul – for Orient’s second from the spot in three minutes.
Bonne stepped up for the O’s to put the ball in the same corner, depite Green diving the correct way could not get a hand to his strike.
In the second half, just after the hour mark Orient grabbed their third as Joe Widdowson’s cross was met by substitute and new signing Matt Harrold to head home.
Orient got their fourth with seven minutes remaining, as Harrold’s flick on sent Bonne through he beat both chasing defenders and slotted his shot underneath Green – to secure the three points.
